Obituary

Scott Donald Wacker was born on January 22, 1972, in Gaylord, Minnesota, the son of Donald and Marlys (Ehlers) Wacker. Scott was baptized as an infant on February 20, 1972, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on June 1, 1986, both at Zion Lutheran Church in Green Isle Township, Sibley County, Minnesota. He received his education in Glencoe and was a graduate of the Glencoe High School Class of 1990. He continued his education at Hutchinson Technical College, graduating with an Auto Mechanic degree.

Scott was a hard worker. He was currently employed by LionsHead Specialty Tire & Wheel LLC in Norwood Young America, MN, first putting the tires and rims together, then delivering them via his semi to his customers in Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Prior to this, Scott worked for NuCrane in Hutchinson, MN for some time as well as Rock On Gravel in St. Cloud, MN.

To say Scott enjoyed his garden tractors, would be an understatement. He enjoyed collecting and repairing old Bolens garden tractors, manufacturing parts and implements for his tractors. His preferred was the Bolens Garden Tractor, but John Deere and Alice Chalmers were high on his list as well. Scott enjoyed working on his tractors and was creative when building things from scratch, most specifically the garden cultivator he built. He cherished the time spent meeting up with like-minded people at the tractor shows and conversing about their builds. Scott was a member of the Garden Tractor Club as well as other Tractor Clubs in the area. He treasured the collection of miniature John Deere tractors he had formed over the years.

Scott was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially to anyone having mechanical issues or whatever they needed. He relished the time he spent outdoors cutting and splitting wood. Scott cherished the time he spent with family and friends.

Scott passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at St. Mary’s (Mayo) Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota at the age of 50 years. Blessed be his memory.

Scott is survived by his:
Parents, Donald and Marlys Wacker of Glencoe, MN;
Brother, Daniel Wacker of Gaylord, MN;
Sister, Crystal Tews and her husband, Nicolas of Hutchinson, MN;
Nephews, Skyler Steinberg, Zachary Wacker;
Niece, Brittney Steinberg;
Great-niece and nephew, Aria and Micah;
His Children, Corrinna and baby Abel, Evelyn, Jeremiah, and Ethan, adopted by Jim and Nan Bigot;
Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and many, many friends.

Scott was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Emil and Louise Wacker, Art and Rosie Ehlers; as well as Aunts and Uncles.
