Shari Lynn Schmid, age 51, of Glencoe, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019, from 12:00-3:00 P.M. at the Johnson-McBride Funeral Chapel in Glencoe, Minnesota.

Obituary

Shari Lynn (Smith) Schmid was born on August 29, 1968, in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Roger and Marie (Smith) Kendall. Shari was baptized as an infant on December 1, 1973, at Church of St. Thomas More in Lake Lillian, Minnesota, and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on November 9, 1984, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Chaska, Minnesota. She received her education in Chaska, Minnesota, graduating with the Chaska High School Class of 1987.

Shari grew up in Chaska and then made her home in Waconia, Brownton and Glencoe, Minnesota. Her life was blessed with two children, Amber and Trever. In addition to being a loving mother and homemaker, Shari worked at ACPI Cabinet in Waconia and Walmart in Hutchinson, Minnesota.

Shari enjoyed camping, fishing, campfires and dogs. She treasured the time spent with her friends and family, especially her granddaughter, Kennedi. Shari had a contagious fun bubbly personality that made every situation better.

Blessed be her memory.

Shari is survived by her:
Significant Other, Jamie Binder of Glencoe, MN;
Daughter, Amber Schmid and her fiancé, Chuck Mapes, of Buffalo, MN;
Son, Trever Schmid of Brownton,MN;
Step - Daughters, Nichole LorRayne Binder and Angela Joan Binder of Glencoe, MN;
Grandchildren, Kennedi Maelynn Mapes, Sophia Judith-Juliana Mapes, and Grayson Alexander Mapes;
Mother, Marie Kendall of Mission TX;
Brother, Rich Smith and his wife, Shelly, of Hamburg, MN;
Step Brother, Bob Kendall and his wife, Denise, of Brentwood, CA;
Step Sister, Connie Kendall of Modesto, CA;
Step Nephew, Derrick Kendall and his daughter Kennedy Aleda Kendall;
Step Niece, Kylie Kendall;
Other relatives and many friends.

Shari was preceded in death by her Father, Roger Kendall; Grandmother, Lavina Smith; Nephew, Wyatt Smith.

    She was a great lady i remember going to walmart and visiting with here at Wal-Mart and hangout with here on here breaks when she had time to shoot the talk with here she will be missed and sorry for the family and the loss of a special lovely woman and a great hearted person to talk to when u are having a bad day

    Sorry for your loss. Your mom was such a cheerful and spunky person. I don’t think I ever knew her anything but that whenever we visited. She will be missed. Know though that she will always be with you and watching over everyone. Prayers.

    She brought so much happiness to so many. I will miss her laugh and the fun way she could keep Jamie in his place. She was such a great woman with a huge heart. She will be missed by so many. I know she is one beautiful Angel with a huge smile looking down at all of us.
