Steven A. Schumacher, age 72, of El Segunda, California, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Inglewood Centinela Hospital in Inglewood, California.
Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota, with Private Family interment in Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Steven Alan Schumacher was born on January 22, 1952, in Watertown, Minnesota. He was the son of Donald and Arlene (Brueggemeier) Schumacher. Steve was baptized as an infant at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hollywood Township, Carver County, Minnesota and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He received his education in Hutchinson, and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1970. Steve furthered his education at Gustavus Adolphus College.
Steve resided in El Segundo, California. Steve was employed at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, California. He then worked for a courier service.
Steve liked traveling, reading, and learning about historical events. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed following the Minnesota Vikings and Twins.
Steve passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, in Inglewood, at the age of 72 years.

Steve is survived by his:
Mother, Arlene Schumacher of Hutchinson, MN;
Brother, Jeffrey Schumacher and his wife, Linda of Lester Prairie, MN;
Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Steve is preceded in death by his Father, Donald Schumacher; Sister, Rebecca in-infancy; Brother, James in-infancy; Grandparents; Uncles.

I was just informed about Steve’s passing and so sorry to hear.We had many good times in high school and college.He truly was a good friend to me and person to who were fortunate to have known him.

So sorry for your loss. I recently found out Steve had passed. I worked with him at the MSP airport. We shared a lot of fun times and did some traveling together to Michigan and northern California. Rest well my friend.
