Obituary

Susan was born on February 10, 1951, in Glencoe, Minnesota, to parents Victor Martin and Laura Marie (Stradtmann) Boesche. She was baptized on March 4, 1951, by Rev. Alfred Streufert and later confirmed in her faith as a youth on May 23, 1965, by Rev L.E. Vogel, both at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. She graduated from Glencoe High School on June 2, 1969, and attended the University of Minnesota the following year.

Susan’s heart was devoted to her family and friends; she cherished the time they spent together. She also loved to travel, visiting new and familiar places. Susan found joy working with and flying hot air balloons with long-time friends and family. She participated in many hot air balloon festivals across the country over the years. She was very artistic and loved spending time creating beautiful stained-glass designs, picture framing, sewing and so much more. She loved sending cards and giving gifts to family and friends, often something she handcrafted. Susan enjoyed collecting swans, a hobby that may have started from her amazing view of the river from her home in Buffalo City.

Susan was blessed to spend many years with her special friend Tom Jensen. They shared many joyous occasions and he was with her every step of the way through her long battle with cancer.

Susan died peacefully at her home in Buffalo City, Wisconsin, on February 24, 2022, in the presence of loved ones.

Susan is survived by her:
Brothers, Gerald (Nancy) Boesche, Alan (Sheila) Boesche, Mark (Christine) Boesche, Kevin (Gayle) Boesche, Robert (Nancy) Boesche;
Sister, Patricia Hegna;
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Susan was preceded in death by her Parents, Victor and Laura Boesche; Sister, JoAnn Eskelson and her husband, Harvey; Nephew, Scott Eskelson; and Brother-in-law, Kyle Hegna.
