Sylvia M. Pawlicki, age 78, wife of Leon, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, December 6, 2025, 10:00 A.M., at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be one hour prior to the service.
Obituary
Sylvia Mae Pawlicki was born on July 12, 1947, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She was the daughter of David and Erma (Schroeder) Steinle. Sylvia was baptized as an infant on July 13, 1947, at Hutchinson Hospital, and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Grace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. She received her education through the 11th grade at Hutchinson High School.
On June 4, 1976, Sylvia was united in marriage to Leon Pawlicki at the Methodist Church in Watertown, South Dakota. This marriage was blessed with four daughters, Sheila, Lisa, Carla, and Teresa. Sylvia and Leon resided in Silver Lake, Minnesota, and later made their home in Hutchinson. They shared 49 years of marriage.
Sylvia was a house wife for over 40 years and was later employed at 3M in Hutchinson. She retired in 2010. Sylvia was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson.
Sylvia enjoyed knitting and sewing. She loved indulging in cheesecake and peach iced tea. Sylvia also enjoyed arts and crafts, making and painting ceramics, and making silk flowers from country silks out of Silver Lake, Minnesota. Sylvia especially cherished spending time with her loving husband, Leon and her friends.
Sylvia passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, at the age of 78 years.

Daughters, Sheila Rathke and her husband, Brian of Murray, UT,
Lisa Roberts and her husband, Danny of Wisner, LA,
Teresa Sigafoos and her husband, Bob of New Germany, MN;
10 Grandchildren;
5 Great-grandchildren;
Son-in-law, Micheal West of Cambridge, MN,
Many other relatives and friends.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her Parents, David and Erma Steinle; Daughter, Carla West.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Ervin Nowak for helping Sylvia and Leon transition into the nursing home and to all of the staff at Harmony River for the wonderful care they provide.
