Obituary
Tammy Robin Schultz was born on February 8,1959, at Arlington Municipal Hospital in Arlington, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Clarence and Irma (Nelson) Herd. Tammy was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in the Lutheran faith as a youth. She attended Brainerd High School in Brainerd, Minnesota, and later graduated from Hutchinson High School in Hutchinson, Minnesota, with the class of 1994.
Tammy was employed as the Office Manager for LandsKapings in Hutchinson.
Tammy had an amazing relationship with her two children, Tanya and Jeremy. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Justice “Bubba”, Haley “Bopper”, Jasmine “Spaz”, Gunnar “Goon”, and Triton “Trityman”. There were no limits to her love and giving to her grandchildren. They loved their “Nana'' with their whole hearts, and Tammy was proud of each one of them. Throughout the years, you would see her attending sports events for all the kids. She was their biggest fan and would not miss an event for anything.
Tammy quickly made friendships and connections through her love of plants and landscaping. She was so creative putting together designs and making holiday planters, which were one of her favorites. Tammy always provided “critical” information when it came to plants, “bust up the roots, water, but don’t over water.”
She would also spend many weekends at the race track watching her son in his sprint car, #33S. Tammy traveled from track to track for many years and even made it to Nationals in Nebraska.
Tammy became the seasonal snowbird she had always wanted to be. She would travel to Phoenix, Arizona, and spend the winter months doing what she loved – planting, resting, and enjoying the warm weather, preparing for her retirement.
Tammy passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center in Phoenix, at the age of 64 years.

So sorry to hear about Tammy’s passing. I knew Tammy from working with her at HTI. What I remember most about Tammy was her smile. She was a hard worker who got the job done and had fun doing it. My sympathies go out to the family. When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure to cherish forever.

Well, darn. I loved working on ideas for my yard with Tammy. She would tell me we were alike in plant perfection and placement. That is a high compliment, for sure. I would call her in September and pretend to be in a panic about the water lines getting blown out to make her laugh, as people were a bit excited about that topic. During the more stressful seasons, sending her happy emails that might help her through with a few chuckles was fun. She was creative, funny, intelligent, and had a big heart.
