My first memory of meeting my uncle’s mom; Verna, was when we had a family gathering over Christmas many years ago- and her grandson Ryan was dancing around the room like an idiot, and she gave him the best eye-roll I’ve seen to this day. The eye-roll was so genuine and memorable to me, I still think about it to this day. I could tell that is was rooted in love, but also watered with a little disgust.–if you know Ryan and seen him dance, you know what I mean. 🙂
That is how I will remember Verna- full of love, and being very funny! I know she touched many hearts over her 102 years, and she will be missed by dearly.

Our Aunt Verna was a kind & strong women. She & our mom would keep in touch with each other via phone until they both couldn’t hear anymore, but that’s another story! We were able to meet up with Mary & Verna in Jacksonville, FL many years ago. It was a special time for my mom who talked about their visit often. They are now having visits in heaven. So sorry for your loss everyone!

To the family, my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Please find comfort in the knowledge that God promises to eliminate all the things that have plagued mankind for centuries including pain, suffering and death (Revelation 21:3,4). May these promises from God give you comfort now and real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.
