Virginia Elsie (Preuss) Motz, age 86, of Gaylord, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Oak Terrace Health Care Center in Gaylord.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 11:00 A.M., at Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be one hour before the service at Grace Bible Church, in Silver Lake.
Arrangements are with Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson.

Obituary
Virginia Elsie (Preuss) Motz was born on July 11, 1929, in Ramsey County, St. Paul, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Paul Otto and Elsie Alma (Hager) Preuss. Virgina was baptized as an infant in 1929, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth at St. James Lutheran Church in West St. Paul, Minnesota. She received her education at Sibley High School in West St. Paul, Minnesota.
On June 2, 1948, Virginia was united in marriage to Elmer Motz at St. James Lutheran Church in West St. Paul, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with four children, Jerry, Judy, Deby, and Cindy. Virginia and Elmer made their home in St. Paul, Minnesota. They shared 60 years of marriage until Elmer passed away on August 7, 2008.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, Virginia was employed as a physical therapy assistant at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, for 25 years retiring in 1985. After retirement Virginia and Elmer moved to Finlayson, Minnesota, until Elmer passed away. She then moved to Winsted to live with her daughter prior to moving to Gaylord. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Silver Lake, Minnesota.
Virginia enjoyed canning, gardening, sewing, embroidering, crocheting, and computer games. She cherished the time spent with her family and friends.
Virginia passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Oak Terrace Nursing Home in Gaylord, Minnesota, at the age of 86 years.
She will be dearly missed.

Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives and many friends.
Virginia is preceded in death by her Parents, Paul and Elsie Preuss; Husband, Elmer Motz; Son, Jerry Lee Motz; Grandson, Aaron Bergstrom; Brothers, Robert Preuss, Donald Preuss.
