Gene Blumhoefer

Funeral Assistant

Gene was born and raised in Fairfax, Minnesota and graduated from the Fairfax High School in 1954. He started working for Hauser Lumber Company in May of 1957. Hauser Lumber Company sold lumber, hardware, furniture and floor covering and also operated the Hauser Funeral Home in Fairfax. Gene worked in funeral service for over 50 years. He was a member of the Fairfax Fire and Rescue and also was an ambulance E.M.T. for 32 years. He served in the United States Army for two years, and spent 13 months in Korea. Gene’s wife Lois passed away on February 13, 2006. He has 3 children, Scott, Michelle and Michael, and three granddaughters, Kristen, Madeline and Ella. He enjoys his job and helping people in need.
