Adeline Ruth Roepke

Obituary

Adeline Ruth Roepke was born on February 5, 1931, in Winthrop, Minnesota.  She was the daughter of Henry and Emily (Martin)

Hoppe.  Adeline was baptized as an infant on February 22, 1931, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on June 10, 1945, both at Zion Lutheran Church in Winthrop.  She received her elementary education in Winthrop and was a graduate of the Winthrop High School Class of 1949. 

On January 29, 1950, Adeline was united in marriage to Melvin Roepke at Zion Lutheran Church in Winthrop.  This marriage was blessed with 4 children, Renae, Jeffrey, Bart, and Joy.  Adeline and Melvin resided in Hutchinson, Minnesota. They shared 66 years of marriage.

In addition to being a loving homemaker and mother, Adeline held employment in the Quality Control Department at Telex in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, where she served on the funeral committee. Adeline was also a member of the Peace Lutheran Bible Study Group.

Adeline enjoyed camping, taking long walks and spending time at the family cabin near Motley, Minnesota.   She also liked embroidery and was an avid reader.    Adeline cherished the time she spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Adeline passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at her home in Hutchinson, Minnesota at the age of 85 years.  Blessed be her memory.
