Alan Jerabek, age 74, of Hutchinson, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 15, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton with interment in the Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 14, 2018, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. and will continue one hour prior all at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton.
Obituary
Alan James Jerabek was born on June 26, 1943, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He was the son of Jerry and Dorothy (Brecht) Jerabek. Alan was baptized as an infant on October 7, 1943, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on June 9, 1957. He received his education in Brownton, and was a graduate of the Brownton High School Class of 1961.
On May 9, 1964, Alan was united in marriage to Sandra Kosek at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Stewart, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with four children, Scott, Sherry, Stacey, and Shannon. Alan and Sandy resided in Brownton, and later moved to Hutchinson in December of 2003. They shared 53 years of marriage.
Alan was employed as a Tool and Die Maker at 3M in Hutchinson for 31 years until retiring in October of 2003. Alan was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton, Minnesota where he was a previous member of the Church Council and served as treasurer.
Alan enjoyed manicuring his lawn and gardening. He also enjoyed Bible Study, attending music concert series, and playing chauffeur to the love of his life, Sandy. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.
Alan passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 74 years.

Shannon Jerabek and his wife, Michele of Brownton, MN;
Grandchildren, Briana Ekstrom, Andrew Harpel, Alexandra Ekstrom, Allie Harpel, Emmi Jerabek, Ross Jerabek, and Sydney Harpel;
Sister, Susan Ide and her husband, Wallace of Silver Lake, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.
Alan is preceded in death by his Parents, Jerry and Dorothy Jerabek; and Grandparents, Charlie and Elsie Jerabek and Theodore and Rose Brecht.
