Alex and I were classmates at ATI, and, although I only briefly knew him for two weeks, his laughter was the brightest in the room.
We briefly talked after running into each other upon his return to training and it was all smiles and enthusiasm from Alex.
It was clear that he came from a loving family and parents that raised a bright son, in both nature and personality!
All of my prayers and condolences to the Ebert family

Alex flew with me at Air Wisconsin when I was a captain there. We flew together a few times, and while I don’t remember every crew member I worked with at Air Wisconsin, I remember Alex quite fondly. Being an airline pilot, you never know what kind of a day you will have. Sometimes you will be navigating both federal regulations and stormy weather. Other times, it will just be the two of you in a cockpit moving through smooth skies for hours at a time. Alex was the kind of person that was a joy to work with in both situations. We had some tough days together, and it was a real relief to fly with him because I knew I could count on him. He knew his stuff and was a good stick-and-rudder pilot. He also really was a part of the crew. Sometimes crew members felt like a collection of individuals, but with Alex, the group felt more cohesive. I remember he treated our flight attendants well and with respect. When we would chat, I always got the sense that he was genuine. The pilot profession is better for having had an aviator like Alex. I’m glad to have had the chance to know him. Clear skies and tailwinds, Alex.
