Service Information
Alma J. Wagner, age 94, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, formerly of Stewart, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Woodstone Senior Living Center in Hutchinson.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson, with interment in the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Stewart.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
Obituary
Alma Jean Wagner was born on August 13, 1930, at her home in Stewart, Minnesota. She was the daughter of William and Hildegard (Streich) Zimmerman. Alma was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart. She received her education in Stewart, and was a graduate of the Stewart High School Class of 1949.
On June 25, 1954, Alma was united in marriage to DeForest W. Wagner at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart. This marriage was blessed with two daughters, Roxanne and Joanne. Alma and DeForest resided in Stewart. They shared 35 years of marriage prior to the passing of DeForest on November 27, 1989. Alma later moved to Hutchinson, Minnesota.
Alma was a loving wife, mother, homemaker and helper to DeForest in the family business. She retired in 1989. Alma was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart, where she taught Sunday School, Junior Lutherans, and participated in the quilting group and Ladies Aide.
Alma enjoyed quilting, gardening, embroidery, reading, and coloring. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
Alma passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Woodstone Senior Living in Hutchinson, at the age of 94 years.

Brother-in-law, Elroy Wagner;
Sisters-in-law, Lorlie Erickson, Beverly (Ron) Pepper, Sally Wagner;
Many other relatives and friends.
