While Anita and I were neighbors on the farm, we shared the love of gardening and German shepherd dogs. One time she asked if I would bring a few pups from a litter over for her to see. She had such joy on her face! Often times we would bring her fresh sweet corn from the field and we would talk gardening. She gave me a lot of tips.
To God be the glory for the life of Anita Wolff.

My memories start with walking the mile to country school with Anita, and a sleep over with her only to find she broke out with chicken pox in the morning. Sharing flowers, seeds or plant roots from the garden. Many visits having coffee at the table, and finally her daily emails sharing her day. I’ll miss our visits and sharing thoughts of our mutual faith.

What a surprise to hear ANITA has passed away so suddenly. I have known Anita since being brought to Hector conv at 6 month’s old, and through the years, and how she hosted and spent her whole life making sure the convention grounds were in order. Her continual keeping it spotless. Always ‘on duty’…so now that her old used up body has been laid aside, her beautiful resignation and pure heart will be presented to Our Father and Jesus to occupy the place prepared for her which we are all living for ourselves. I am 93 so friends a long time.
Jean Wolff says
Your ongoing friendship meant so much to her, Betty.

Our sympathy to each in the family. We also have special memories of Anita and remember her faithful presence. She could retell MN history of long ago and through the years. I remember two extended visits with her. One time was when she asked if I would be her helper in the big house on the farm. She was expecting several for a meal. Here main meat was lamb, which I had never cooked before. I learned organizing and cooking tips from Anita. Another extended time was at the time of her cataract surgery and post care in Willmar. Visiting time with Anita was valued.
Jean Wolff says
Thank you, Carol. I do believe you may have been there the only day lamb was served! She clearly admired your abilities at a time like that!
Lois says
Thank you, Ginny, for the fun memory. That would have been a special meal – lamb was not common! Auntie sure appreciated you folks.

Thinking of you today, Lois, Marilyn, and Jean. I was telling our Mom, also 91, about Anita’s death. She has some dementia, but she became very engaged talking about Anita. Mom said they had been friends since they were young girls. I remember Dad and Mom driving out to Hector to visit Anita. Anita was quite a historian regarding people & events! Thank you for your loving care for her. She kept a strong faith in God & His promises to the end.
