Arlyce A. Grack

Obituary

Arlyce Alma Grack was born on February 23, 1939, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Harold and Leona (Gruenhagen) Wroge. Arlyce was baptized as an infant on March 12, 1939, by Pastor R.L. Ehlen at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Plato, Minnesota, and later confirmed in her faith on May 25, 1952, by Pastor E.A. Schuett at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe. She received her education at country school for eight years, then attended Glencoe School for two years, continuing her education in Lester Prairie. She was a graduate and valedictorian of the Lester Prairie High School class of 1956.

On September 11, 1959, Arlyce married Norman Grack at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe, with Pastor H.A. Bode officiating. Following their marriage, they made their home and farmed in rural Glencoe. Together, they were blessed with four children: Kevin, Diana, Bryan, and Michael.

Arlyce worked at 3M in St. Paul for three months before taking on several other roles throughout her life, including working for Attorney Ed Gavin for three years, part-time for Harold Nagel CPA for seven years, was a cook at First Evangelical Lutheran School for 13 years, working at Casey’s for three years, serving as Senior Nutrition Site Manager for four years, and proudly representing Avon for 25 years.

Arlyce and Norman shared 64 wonderful years of marriage before Norman passed away on September 15, 2023.

Arlyce was a devoted member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe and was actively involved in the LWML for 43 years. She found joy in reading, doing puzzles, needlework, traveling, and playing cards. Above all, Arlyce treasured the time she spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Arlyce passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at GlenFields Living With Care in Glencoe at the age of 87 years. Blessed be her memory.

Daughter-in-law, Sharon Krueger of Hutchinson, MN;
Brothers-in-law, Willard Grack of Glencoe, MN, and LaVern Grack and his wife, Dorothy of Brownton, MN;
Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
