Arlys L. Lindstrand, age 81, of Winthrop, Minnesota passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be Friday, May 26, 2023, 2:00 P.M. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop with interment in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 25, 2023, from 4:00-7:00 P.M. and will continue one hour prior to the service, ALL at the church.
Obituary
Arlys LaEva Lindstrand was born on August 17, 1941, in Tyler, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Edward and Alice (Stelter) Wendland. Arlys was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Balaton, Minnesota. She received her education in Balaton, and was a graduate of the Balaton High School Class of 1959. Arlys furthered her education at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota, and received an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.
On April 27, 1963, Arlys was united in marriage to Lloyd Lindstrand at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Balaton. This marriage was blessed with one daughter, Kellie. Arlys and Lloyd made their home in Winthrop, Minnesota. They shared 43 years of marriage until Lloyd passed away on July 25, 2006.
Arlys was employed as the CEO at Hands Inc. in Winthrop for over 40 years. She was also the CEO and founder of All-Packaging in Gibbon, Minnesota. Arlys retired when the business closed in 2020. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop. Arlys was also a member of Winthrop Opportunities, Winthrop Chamber Member, and a Charter Member of the Winthrop Area Foundation.
Arlys enjoyed sewing, gardening, fishing, an occasional trip to the casino, and mowing the lawn. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
Arlys passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, at the age of 81 years.

Daughter, Kellie Sloot and her husband, Harry of Winthrop, MN;
Granddaughters, Mollie (Steve) Shoyer, Heidie (Aaron) Haugo, Cassidy (Chad) Berg;
2 Great Grandchildren, William Lloyd Shoyer and June Cecielia Berg;
Sister, Ellen Bakker;
Many other relatives and friends.
Arlys is preceded in death by her Parents, Edward and Alice Wendland; Husband, Lloyd Lindstrand; Sister, Mavis Carlson; Brother-in-law, Jerome Bakker.
