Arnold Martin Seefeldt

Obituary

Arnold Martin Seefeldt was born on January 18, 1934, at his home in Lester Prairie, Minnesota.  He was the son of Edwin and Annie (Birkholz) Seefeldt.  Arnold was baptized as an infant on January 28, 1934, by Pastor Eckert at his home and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth on March 21, 1948, by Pastor R. A. Ritz at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, Minnesota.  He received his education at a country school in Lester Prairie.

On January 23, 1957, Arnold was united in marriage to Margaret Casey at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake, Minnesota. Arnold and Margaret made their home in Lester Prairie.  Their marriage was blessed with three children, Patsy, Tim, and Paul.  Arnold and Margaret shared over 37 years of marriage, until Margaret passed away on February 27, 1994.

Arnold was a dairy farmer his whole life. He also worked at the cement factory in Lester Prairie for 37 years and the creamery.  Arnold was a lifelong member at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. 

Being Arnold was a farmer he enjoyed field work and cutting hay.  Arnold also enjoyed fishing on Sundays, polka music and attending local town celebrations including their parades.  He loved taking trips to the gas station and visiting family with his golf cart.  Arnold treasured the time spent with his family and friends. 

Arnold passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at his home in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 26 days.
