In 1986, they relocated with their children to rural Winthrop, Minnesota, where they launched Doehling's Countryside Farm Market. Ollie and I are among the stunned to hear of Arnold’s passing. We are deeply sorry for your loss. Arnold became my employer nearly nine years ago, but he became a friend almost immediately. He will be missed by many and remembered fondly for a very long time.

Mark & Martha Santelman says
When we moved to Winthrop over 20 years ago we immediately joined Zion Lutheran and we walked into a Who’s Who of stalwart Christians in Winthrop and the surrounding area. Arnold & Karen being two of many members who became icons of faith for us.
My recurring memory of Arnold is I rarely talked to him, and yet, every Sunday I drew strength from his mere presence. I am a better man because of Arnold. And now I wish I had told him that.
Blessed be his memory.

We will miss seeing Arnold at the Market off of Hwy 7 in Minnetonka. He seemed like such a kind hearted, gentle, quiet man. Whether it is was raining, windy, snowing or storming, he seemed to be there (or at least someone was) and we always found what we were looking for! We hope they keep the Market going! Sympathies to his family and prayers for his soul . . .
