Betty Ann Wroge, age 94, of Winsted, formerly of Lester Prairie, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023, at The Gardens at Winsted in Winsted, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023, 11:00 A.M., at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, with interment at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M., two hours prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Betty Ann Wroge was born on February 5, 1929, in Hamburg, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Walter and Esther (Arlt) Bergmann. Betty Ann was baptized in the Christian faith as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth both at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg, Minnesota. Betty Ann received her education in Norwood, Minnesota, and graduated with the Central High School class of 1947.
On May 20, 1950, Betty Ann was united in marriage to Vernon W. Wroge at Emanuel Lutheran Church. Betty Ann and Vernon made their home on the Wroge Family Farm in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Patrice, Susan, Daniel, and David. Betty Ann and Vernon shared 41 years of marriage until Vernon passed away on April 26, 1992.
Betty Ann was a loving mother, homemaker, and farmwife. For a brief time before that, she was employed at Green Giant in Glencoe, Minnesota, and most recently, she was employed at Holasek’s Green House in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, for over 19 years. Betty Ann was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie and was a part of their Ladies’ Aid. For a number of years, Betty Ann was the leader of the Bergen Busy Bees 4-H Club.
Betty Ann enjoyed gardening, sewing, and playing cards. She enjoyed venturing out to play golf and to go bowling. Spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends was what Betty Ann truly cherished most.
Betty Ann passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023, at The Gardens at Winsted in Winsted, Minnesota, at the age of 94. Blessed be her memory.

Great-grandchildren, Reagen and Dax Norman, Lauren and Gavin Stenson, Amelia and Eleanor Rumphal, Miriam and Lochlan Fargen, Gatlin and Harper Kaley, Asher Wroge, Theo Rozeske, Remi and Trey Wroge, Jane and Everett Stelik;
Sister, Patricia Ortloff of Eden Prairie, MN;
Daughter-in-law, Diane Wroge of Winsted, MN;
Many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Betty Ann was preceded in death by Parents, Walter and Esther Bergmann; Husband, Vernon W. Wroge; Daughters, Susan Mueller, and Patrice (Robert) Rozeske; Son, Daniel Wroge; Grandson, Nicholas Wroge; Sister, Donna Fruetel.
