Bets, you were truly one of a kind and one of my very, very favorite people. I’m absolutely heartbroken in losing you. You can bet me “a dollar to doughnuts” that I’ll love you forever and you won’t be wrong. Thanking God for blessing me with the most fun, spunky, generous, and caring aunt a girl could ask for. Rest easy, sweet Betty Lou. xoxo

I think if you looked up the word ‘nurse’ in the dictionary, there would be a picture of Betty. RIP dear lady!

The Betty I worked with for many years at Glencoe hospital was a model of caregiving, high standards, and stamina.
Her patients always have the cleanest bodies and the tidiest rooms, and I learned many, many things from her. Rest in peace, dear friend.
