Chaz Teetzen says
I was not able to share my story during the funeral, it was just too difficult at the time. I would like to share my story now.
I really struggled to come up with a good story that showed who Brett really was and what he meant to me. My wife told me a story on the drive to Litchfield and I knew that was the story I had been looking for. Brett was one of our ushers for our wedding. My wife was sick to her stomach with nerves waiting for the doors to open and walk down the aisle. As she walked up to the doors, waiting for Brett and Mark to open them, Brett looked at her, gave her his signature smirk, and said, “You look beautiful, just breathe.” That is who Brett was, he always knew what to do or say at just the right moment.
Thank you for being such a good friend and I hope you are finally taking time for yourself.
