Bruce Allan Schneewind, age 69, of Lester Prairie, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024, at EdenBrook Edina in Edina, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, 11:00 A.M., at St. John’s UCC in Bongards, Minnesota, with interment following in the church cemetery.
Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M., one and a half hours prior to the service at the church.
Memorials preferred to the St. John's United Church of Christ in Bongards, Minnesota, in memory of Bruce Schneewind.
Obituary
Bruce Allan Schneewind was born on September 28, 1954, at Nagel Hospital in Waconia, Minnesota. He was the son of Orlin and Kathleen (Herrmann) Schneewind. Bruce was baptized in the Christian faith on October 17, 1954, and later confirmed in his faith as a youth on March 31, 1968. Bruce received his education in Waconia and graduated with the Waconia High School class of 1973.
Bruce was united in marriage to Mary Miller on June 5, 1987; who sadly passed away from leukemia soon after. On May 11, 1990, Bruce was united in marriage to Tara Birkholz. The couple shared over 33 years together.
Bruce grew up on the family dairy farm and greatly enjoyed the farm life and country living. Bruce was employed at several local businesses which included; Bongard’s Creamery, Young America Corp, Medallion Cabinetry, and Lester Building Systems, LLC.
Bruce’s favorite activity when he was young was playing ball with the neighborhood farm boys. Once he was older, he enjoyed spending time outdoors; biking, swimming, and camping out in the woods. Bruce also enjoyed playing in pool leagues with his brother, Brian.
Bruce Allan Schneewind passed away on March 1, 2024, due to secondary complications from a stroke at EdenBrook Edina in Edina, Minnesota, at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 3 days. Blessed be his memory.
