Obituary
Carol Ann (Albers) Maynard was born on January 14, 1944, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Henry and Lila (Lee) Albers. Carol was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her catholic faith as a youth both at the Church of St. Peter and Paul in Glencoe, Minnesota. She received her education in Glencoe and was a graduate with the Glencoe High School Class of 1962. Carol continued her education at the Cosmetology School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
In 1968, when Carol was 25 years old, she suffered a brain injury from a car accident, which led to many challenges over the years that she would have to face. Thankfully these challenges never took away her optimism and drive to overcome them. Carol was a loving mother and homemaker to her two children, Scott and Julie. Carol was a life-long member of the Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe as her faith in the Lord was something very dear to her.
Carol enjoyed visiting with friends and strangers alike. She could be described as soft-spoken and kind. Carol enjoyed baking cookies, playing rounds of Bingo, and coloring. Her family was important to her and spending time with them was what she truly cherished most.
When Carol needed assistance with her daily care, she moved to Grand Meadows Senior Living in Glencoe in 2011, and passed away peacefully there on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the age of 80 years, 2 months, and 24 days. Blessed be her memory.

My sincere sympathies to Scott, Julie Pat and family. I have fond memories of Carol. She was my dishwashing partner when I’d visit Glencoe and I’d always get a big hug from her. I can still see her making cookies and ironing. She was good at both. May you be comforted by her sweet memories.
