Obituary

Carolyn Ann (Stoeckmann) Lange was born on August 10, 1948, in Glencoe, Minnesota. She was the daughter of William and Hattie (Albers) Stoeckmann. Carolyn was baptized as an infant on August 29, 1948, and later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 15, 1962, both by Rev. L.T. Wohlfeil at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg, Minnesota. Carolyn’s confirmation verse was John 10:27, 28. She received her education in Glencoe and graduated from the Glencoe High School with the class of 1966.

On September 19, 1970, Carolyn was united in marriage to Earl Lange at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Hamburg by Rev. Laurence Meyer. The couple was blessed with two daughters, Jodi and Kim. They made their family home on a farm south of Glencoe. Carolyn and Earl shared over 55 years of marriage.

Carolyn was employed at Security Bank & Trust in Glencoe, where she worked as a Teller/Supervisor. She dedicated many years to her working career and retired in 2015. Faith was an important part of Carolyn’s life, and she was a very active member of St John’s Lutheran Church in Helen Township, rural Glencoe, Minnesota. She shared her love of faith through singing in the church choir, teaching Sunday School, and serving as an officer with the Ladies’ Aid.

Carolyn enjoyed her time outdoors tending to her gardens. She loved filling her home with music by playing the piano. She found joy in crocheting blankets. Carolyn also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and socializing with friends. Carolyn and Earl looked forward to their trips with friends over the years, fishing, and snowmobiling.

Carolyn passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at GlenFields Living with Care in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 77 years, 7 months, and 26 days. The passing of Carolyn Ann leaves a void in her family’s hearts, but the memories shared with her will forever be treasured. Blessed be her memory.
