Service Information
Carolyn M. Fausch, age 87, of Hutchinson, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2017, 4:00 P.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Chapel.
Obituary
Carolyn Marie Fausch was born on September 6, 1929, in Monterey, Minnesota, to Walter and Bertha (Anderson) Benson. Carolyn was baptized as an infant and confirmed in her faith as a youth at the Mission Covenant Church in Trimont, Minnesota. She received her education in Trimont, and was a graduate of the Trimont High School. Carolyn furthered her education at Minnesota State Mankato College and received her teaching degree.
On July 9, 1960, Carolyn was united in marriage to Richard Fausch at Trinity Lutheran Chapel in Blue Earth, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with three children, Ronda, Ronald, and Denise.
Carolyn was a teacher in several different towns including Truman, Blue Earth, Pipestone, and Colorado Springs. She was a substitute teacher in Hutchinson for many years. Carolyn was co-owner of “Tots to Teens Fashions.” For several years she was employed at JoAnn Fabric and Craft store and retired in 1996.
Carolyn was a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson where she was active in circles.
Carolyn enjoyed sewing, crafts, playing the card game Bridge, and traveling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends.
When Carolyn needed assistance with her daily care, she became a resident of the St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted on October 14, 2016. She passed away there on Friday, May 19, 2017, at the age of 87 years.

Children, Ronda Herbolsheimer and her husband, Paul of Winsted, MN,
Ronald Fausch and his wife, Melissa of Woodbury, MN;
Grandchildren, Casey, Curtis and his fiancé, Heather, Tyler, Weston, and Joey;
Sister, Marlene Bretl;
Carolyn’s special friend, Art Bjerken;
Four nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her Daughter, Denise Marie; Parents, Walter and Bertha Benson; Grandparents, Uncles, and Aunts.

Ron, so sorry for the loss of your mom. We had the pleasure of meeting her and spending a couple of holiday’s with her.
