Carolyn “Sue” Klawitter, age 79, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Cokato Manor in Cokato, Minnesota.
Celebration of Life Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson.
Obituary
Carolyn “Sue” Klawitter was born on October 16, 1944, in Concordia, Kansas. She was the daughter of Leo and Blanche (Freeby) Schille. Sue was baptized as an infant and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia. She received her education through the tenth grade at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
On November 28, 1959, Sue was united in marriage to Donovan Mayer at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia. This marriage was blessed with four children, Calleen, Julie, Joseph, and Christine. They later parted ways. Sue married John Klawitter on April 19, 1982. Sue and John made their home in Hutchinson.
Sue was employed in production at 3M in Hutchinson. She retired in 2003.
Sue enjoyed fishing, bowling, and reading. She also enjoyed visiting casinos, traveling, and going on cruises. Sue cherished spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
Sue passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Cokato Manor in Cokato, Minnesota, at the age of 79 years.

Sister, Betty Strait of Houston, TX;
Many other relatives and friends.
Sue is preceded in death by her Parents, Leo and Blanche Schille; Husband, John Klawitter; Brother, Kenneth Freeby.
