Charlene Ann Stacey, age 87, of Minneapolis, formerly Minnetonka passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Catholic Elder Care in Minneapolis.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 1, 2016, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Therese Catholic Church in Minnetonka, with interment in Cemetery of the Resurrection in Shorewood.
Obituary
Charlene Ann (Hurynowicz) Stacey was born on July 15, 1929, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was the daughter of Frank and Charlotte (Haraburda) Hurynowicz. Charlene was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at St. Adelberts Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She received her education at St. Adelberts Catholic School in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
On August 16, 1947, Charlene was united in marriage to Charles Stacey at St. Adelberts Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was a long time resident of Michigan. She moved to Minnetonka and for the last five years she was a resident of Catholic Elder Care in Minneapolis. The couple was blessed with four children and shared 44 years of marriage until Charles passed away on December 5, 1991.
Charlene was employed as an Executive Secretary at the Hopkins School District and later at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital.
When she needed assistance with her daily care, Charlene became a resident of Catholic Elder Care in Minneapolis and passed away there on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at the age of 87 years.

Curt Stacey of Mound, MN, and
Craig Stacey of Deep Haven, MN;
Grandchildren, Amanda Roby, Sarah Mitchell, Emily Stacey and Megan Stacey;
Great-Grandson, Vincent Roby;
Other relatives and friends.
Charlene was preceded in death by her Parents, Frank and Charlotte Hurynowicz; and Husband, Charles Stacey.
