Cheryl Gruenhagen, age 63, wife of Allen, of Norwood Young America, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018, at her home in Norwood Young America, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 25, 2018, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, and will continue one hour prior the service at the church on Tuesday.
Obituary
Cheryl Ann (Rief) Gruenhagen was born on January 5, 1955, in Shakopee, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Collins and Ardis (Peterson) Rief. Cheryl was baptized on January 23rd, 1955, and later was confirmed in her faith on April 22nd, 1964, both at Guardian Angels Church in Chaska, Minnesota. She received her education at Chaska High School in Chaska, Minnesota.
On January 7, 1972, Cheryl was united in marriage to Allen Gruenhagen in Watertown, South Dakota. Cheryl and Allen made their home in Chaska and Norwood Young America. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Jeremy, Corey, Shane and Alesia. Cheryl and Allen shared over 46 years of marriage.
Cheryl worked for Dr. Richard Axel in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, as a dental assistant for 22 years and retired in 2016. She was a faithful member and participated as an altar guild of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norwood Young America, Minnesota.
Cheryl enjoyed holidays, gardening and being outdoors. She treasured the time spent with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren.
Cheryl passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018, at her home in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, at the age of 63 years, 5 months and 17 days.

Siblings, Collins Rief Jr, Grace Kloos, Steve Rief, Brenda Efta, Chris Rief, Pat Rief;
Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives and friends.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her Parents, Collins and Ardis Rief; Siblings, Michael Rief, Tim Rief, LuAnn Rief.
