Obituary
Cheryl Dianne VonBerge was born on February 19, 1976, in Arlington, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Howard and Dianne (Heerdt) VonBerge. Cheryl was baptized as an infant at Arlington Hospital and later confirmed in her faith on April 12, 1992, at the First Congregational Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. She received her education in Glencoe and was a graduate of the Glencoe-Silver Lake High School class of 1995. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota, graduating on December 17, 1999. Cheryl worked briefly at a group home in Hutchinson, Minnesota, before health issues prevented her from continuing to work.
As a child, Cheryl was determined and independent, never letting her disability stop her. She rode her three-wheel bike all over town. As she grew older, her faith grew as well, which carried her through many obstacles. As an adult, she advocated for others, and even in death, she continued giving by donating to LifeSource.
Cheryl enjoyed fishing trips to Dead Lake near Perham, Minnesota, and going on family trips as a young child.
