Service Information
Clarence L. Hedtke, age 83, husband of Janice, of Brownton, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at his home.
Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton, with interment in the church cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Obituary
Clarence Louis Hedtke was born on April 14, 1939, in Round Grove Township, Minnesota. He was the son of Henry and Mathilda (Dahlke) Hedtke. Clarence was baptized as an infant on April 23, 1939, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth in April 6, 1952, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton. He received his education in Brownton, and was a graduate of the Brownton High School Class of 1956.
On June 3, 1960, Clarence was united in marriage to Janice Kurtzweg at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton. This marriage was blessed with two children, David and Deborah. Clarence and Janice resided and farmed in Stewart for 40 years, and later moved to Brownton, Minnesota. They shared 62 years of marriage.
Clarence was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton. He was also a member of the Round Grove Township Board.
Clarence enjoyed tropical vacations, fishing, camping, socializing with friends, especially at the Klabunde Lake Retreat. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.
Clarence passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at his home, at the age of 83 years.

Son, David Hedtke and his wife, Becky of Stewart, MN;
Daughter, Deborah Hedtke and her special friend, Jim Broten of Stewart, MN;
Grandchildren, Kyle Hedtke and his wife, Amy, Kurt Hedtke and his wife, Nikki, Katie Miller and her husband, Nick;
Great-grandchildren, Kylie, Kellen, McKenna, Aubrey, Ashton, Bennett, and Russell;
Many other relatives and friends.
Clarence is preceded in death by his Parents, Henry and Mathilda Hedtke; Sister, Inez Lueck; Brother, LeRoy Hedtke; Brother-in-law, Howard Lueck; Sister-in-law, Rosemond Hedtke; Nephews, Randy Lueck and Kevin Erickson; Mother and Father-in-law, Esther and Allie Kurtzweg.
