Service Information
Clinton Prahl, age 86, of Le Sueur passed away Friday, October 20, 2017, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 28, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Sibley Township, Sibley County, Minnesota, with interment in the church cemetery. Military Honors by the Manthey-Asmus American Legion Post #433 of Gaylord.
Visitation will be Friday, October 27, 2017, from 3:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. and will continue one hour prior to the service, all at church.
Obituary
Clinton Glenn Prahl was born on February 3, 1931, in St. Peter, Minnesota. He was the son of Charles G. and Lydia (Wehking) Prahl. Clinton was baptized as an infant on March 15, 1931, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth in 1945. He received his education in Le Sueur and was a graduate of the Le Sueur High School Class of 1949.
Clinton entered active military service on July 13, 1954, and served his country in the U.S. Army Air Force in Molesworth, Cambridgeshire, England, between the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Clinton was Honorably Discharged from the reserves on June 30, 1962.
On March 5, 1961, Clinton was united in marriage to Ruth Quast at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Arlington. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Kelso Township, Sibley County. Clinton and Ruth were blessed with three children, and they shared 56 years of marriage.
Clinton was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley Township, where he held various offices, and was involved with the Luther League. He was also a 4-H Leader.
Clinton enjoyed farming, riding horses, bowling on three teams, all sports, hunting, fishing, traveling, and playing cards. He loved spending time with his family especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Richard Prahl and his wife, Donna of Chisago City, MN, and
Barb Wetzel and her husband, David of O’Neil, NE;
12 Grandchildren, Leah Prahl Harmon and her husband, James “Jamie,” Laura Prahl, Alexandria “Lexi” Prahl, Charles “Chas” Prahl and his wife, Addie, Molly Hultman and her husband, Shane, Eric Prahl, Ruthie Wetzel, Claire Wetzel and her fiancé, Adam, Addie Wetzel, Carlie Wetzel, Maxwell Wetzel and Basil Wetzel;
4 Great-Grandchildren, Lydia Prahl Harmon, Benton Prahl Harmon, Lillian Prahl Harmon and Carter Gavin Prahl;
Sister, Lucille Carlson of St Paul, MN;
Sisters-In-Law, Mary Prahl of St. Paul, MN, Mayonna Brenke of Norwood Young America, MN, and Cindy Quast of Henderson, MN;
Brothers-In-Law, Lorenz Quast of Belle Plaine, MN, and Ernest Quast of Henderson, MN;
Many Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
Clinton was preceded in death by his Parents, Charles and Lydia Prahl; Brothers, Art Prahl and Ivan Prahl; Sisters-In-Law, Darlene Prahl and Barb Quast; and Brothers-In-Law, Walter Brenke and John Quast; Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, Otto and Lillie Quast.
