Consuelo Gomez, age 65, of Winthrop, Minnesota, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, at her home in Winthrop, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Church of St. Pius X in Glencoe, Minnesota, with interment at the Glencoe Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017, from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M., 1 ½ hours prior the service at the church.
Obituary
Consuelo (Vasquez) Gomez was born on October 2, 1951, in La Mesa, Texas. She was the daughter of Esteban and Juanita (Tepezano) Vazquez. Consuelo was baptized in 1951, in La Mesa, TX. She was confirmed in May of 1998 in Glencoe, MN. She attended school at CD Juarez Chihuaha, MX.
On December 1973, Counsuelo was united in marriage to Jorge Ruiz Barraza in El Paso, TX. Consuelo and Jorge Ruiz Barraza, made their home in CD Juarez Chihuahua Mx, El Paso, TX and Winthrop, MN. Their marriage was blessed with six children.
In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Consuelo was always a hard working woman. At a young age she had to help raise her family. She loved going to church. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Glencoe, Minnesota.
Consuelo enjoyed watching her favorite game shows on the TV , collecting angel statues and figurines and listening to music from her generation. She loved traveling to Mexico and spending time with her family there. She cherished the time spent with her friends and family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Consuelo passed away on, Friday, April 14, 2017, at her home in Winthrop, Minnesota, at the age of 65 years, 6 months and 12 days.

Consuelo is preceded in death by her Parents, Esteban and Juanita Vazquez; Husband, Jorge Ruiz Barraza; Brother, Alfredo Vazquez.
