Daniel Richard Fischer

Obituary

Daniel “Dan” Richard Fischer was born on August 9, 1959, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He was the son of Sherman “Jerry” and LaVaughn (Kilber) Fischer.  Daniel was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  He received his education in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

On June 24, 2000, Dan was united in marriage to Rita Margaret Stacken by Rev. Merle Kitzmann at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton, Minnesota. Dan made his home in Shakopee, Minnesota, and then in 1999 moved to Brownton, Minnesota, where Rita and Dan made their home.  His life was blessed with two daughters, Sarah and K.D.  Dan and Rita shared over 15 years of marriage together.

Dan worked as a pressman for Japs-Olson in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.  He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Brownton, Minnesota.  Dan also volunteered his time by driving school bus for preschool children and delivering meals on wheels.

Dan enjoyed fishing, playing cards, visiting and drinking coffee.  He also loved animals, especially dogs.  Dan treasured the time spent with his friends and family.

Dan passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015, at Glencoe Regional Health Services in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 56 years, 3 months and 6 days.

Brother, Tim Fischer and his wife, Flo, of Savage, MN;
Father-In-Law & Mother-In-Law, Henry & Mary Ann Stacken of Chaska, MN;
Rita’s Family;
Nephews, Nieces, Other relatives and many friends.

Dan is preceded in death by his Parents; Grandparents; Brother-In-Law, Patrick McIntosh; Aunt, Joy Kilber; Uncle Lloyd Kilber; Dog, Buster.
