Service Information
Darlaine Lueneburg, age 84, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at home in Hutchinson.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, December 4, 2017, 11:00 A.M., at Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials preferred to Shriners Hospitals for Children and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Arrangements are with the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson.
Obituary
Darlaine Marie Lueneburg was born on December 25, 1932 in Brainerd, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Charles and Sarah (Osberg) Slover. Darlaine was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth at First Lutheran Church in Aitkin, Minnesota. She received her education in Aitkin and Duluth. She was a graduate of Duluth Denfeld High School Class of 1950.
On November 17, 1956, Darlaine was united in marriage to Milton Lueneburg at Holy Trinity Church in Duluth. This marriage was blessed with three children, Bradley, Steven, and David. Dar and Milt resided in Duluth and Willmar before moving to Hutchinson in 1963. They just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on November 17, 2017.
Dar was a loving homemaker to her husband and sons. Dar was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson and All Saints Lutheran Church in Darwin. She was also a member of the Hutchinson Women’s Club, League of Women Voters, and Co-Cub Scout Leader.
Dar enjoyed the time spent and the many people her and Milt met travelling in their motorhome and later at their winter home in Mesa, Arizona. She and Milt also shared a passion for fishing and took many fishing trips to northern Minnesota and other places. Milt has said that Dar was “the catch of his life.”
Dar’s favorite time was the years her and Milt spent living on Lake Washington. Here, she was able to fish, enjoy the beauty of the lake, and spend time with her family and friends.
Dar passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at her home in Hutchinson.

Steven Lueneburg and his wife, Pam of Burbank, CA,
David Lueneburg and his wife, Carrie of Hudson, WI;
Grandchildren, Megan, Elizabeth, Noah, Adam, Drew, and Christopher;
Siblings, Shirley Kern and her husband, Dick of Duluth, MN,
Darrell Slover and his wife, Delrae of MA;
Nieces, Nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Dar is preceded in death by her Parents, Charles and Sarah Slover.
