Darlyne Kuphal

Obituary

Darlyne Ordell Kuphal was born on February 27, 1932, in Winthrop, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Albert and Selma (Schuette) Volinkaty. Darlyne was baptized as an infant on March 20, 1932, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on June 9, 1946, both at Zion Lutheran Church in Winthrop. She was a 1950 graduate of Gaylord High School.

On February 27, 1951, Darlyne was united in marriage to Raymond Kuphal at the Immanuel Lutheran Parsonage in Gaylord by Reverend E.H. Stahlke. After their marriage, the couple resided in Gaylord. This marriage was blessed with five children. Darlyne and Raymond shared 65 years of marriage.

Darlyne was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, the Women’s League and the Parent Teacher League. She was the church secretary for many years. Darlyne volunteered at the Immanuel Lutheran School for many years.

Darlyne enjoyed word search puzzles and crafts. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
