Service Information
Daryl Sather, age 70, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, November 27, 2017, 12:00 P.M., noon, at Grace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church.
Military Honors by the Hutchinson Memorial Rifle Squad.
Obituary
Daryl Lee Sather was born on April 12, 1947 in New Ulm, Minnesota. He was the son of Pascal and Viola (Bleick) Sather. Daryl was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth in Fairfax, Minnesota. He received his education in Fairfax and was a graduate of the Fairfax High School Class of 1965.
Daryl entered active military service in the United States Army on July 21, 1966 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and served his country during the Vietnam War. He received an Honorable Discharge on July 20, 1972, and achieved the rank of SPC.
On August 14, 1971, Daryl was united in marriage to Vicki Lee Falconer at Grace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. This marriage was blessed with three children, Michelle, Kresta, and Justin. Daryl and Vicki resided in Hutchinson. They shared 42 years of marriage together until Vicki passed away on January 26, 2014.
Daryl was employed at 3M in Hutchinson for over 35 years. Daryl was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 96 in Hutchinson.
Daryl was an avid Vikings fan and loved NASCAR, especially his favorite driver Jimmie Johnson. Daryl was thrilled by fast cars and could be seen often driving with the top down in his red Corvette, which he affectionately named “Sweet”. He spent his winters in Texas and had a fantastic group of Winter Texan friends. But most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and was devoted to each and every one of them.
Daryl passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 70 years.

Great-Grandchildren, Paige Fredrickson, Troy Fredrickson, Miranda Stacey, and Bree Healy;
Sister-In-Law, Jeanine Sather of New Ulm, MN;
Many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Daryl is preceded in death by his Parents, Pascal and Viola Sather; Wife, Vicki Sather; and Brothers, Doug Sather and Roger Sather.
