David Lange, age 56, of Winthrop passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, at The Lutheran Home – Hope Residence in Belle Plaine, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, January 4, 2025, 2:30 P.M. at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop with interment in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 1:30 P.M.-2:30 P.M. (1 hour prior), ALL at the Funeral Chapel.
Obituary
David Gene Lange was born on October 2, 1968, in Gaylord, Minnesota. He was the son of RayGene and Lois (Bonderson) Lange. David was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Winthrop. He received his education in Winthrop and was a graduate of the Winthrop High School Class of 1988.
David was a resident at his home in Winthrop until 1999, then moved to Mayer for a few years, then to Hutchinson and most recently in Belle Plaine.
David worked with the DAC and ATHC programs.
David enjoyed polka music. He especially enjoyed when his brother Duane would pick him up in his truck and take David out for his favorite meal, hamburger and French fries. He loved spending time with his family.
David is survived by his:
Sister, Donna Lucht and her husband, Dwayne of Alexandria, MN;
Brother, Duane Lange and his wife, Wanda of Winthrop, MN;
Nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
David was preceded in death by his Parents, RayGene and Lois Lange.

Such a sweet, sweet man. Always smiling when he saw family. I can imagine him now whole, jumping and running, happy in heaven. How much joy he has now in the presence of our Savior.

We have so many fond memories of David at ATHC. His love of polka music and all of his funny sayings. He was such a fun guy to be around, always made us laugh and is greatly missed. We are sorry for your loss.

Our deepest sympathies to David’s family.He was such a joy to work with.We had so many laughs together. He loved the old country western music.I think he serenaded me with A Tear In Your Beer,several hundred times.He will be greatly missed.
