Dean A. Wiggert, age 58, of Preston Lake Township, rural Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Graveside Service will be held Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 3:30 P.M., in the Lake Preston Cemetery in Preston Lake Township, rural Buffalo Lake.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., at Hughes-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hector.
Obituary
Dean Arlo Wiggert was born on October 8, 1965, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was the son of Arlo and Sharon (Matzdorf) Wiggert. Dean was baptized as an infant at the Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth at Faith United Methodist Church in Farmington, Minnesota. He received his education in Farmington, and was a graduate of the Farmington High School Class of 1984. Dean furthered his education at the Dakota County Technical College in Rosemont, Minnesota.
Dean moved to Preston Lake Township, rural Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, to pursue his love for farming.
Dean enjoyed farming, raising livestock, driving truck, and spending time with his dogs. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his nephew, Jacob, whom he loved like the son he never had.
Dean passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the age of 58 years.

Niece, Shelby Roiger of Buffalo Lake, MN;
Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Dean is preceded in death by his Parents, Arlo and Sharon Wiggert; Grandparents, Fred and Irene Matzdorf, Hubert and Della Wiggert; Brothers-in-law, Curtis Roiger, Joseph Schuda; Uncle, John Podratz; Aunts, Charlene Podratz, Joy Kounkel.
