Obituary
Delores Helen (Lindeman) Kramer was born on March 17, 1938, in rural Glencoe, McLeod County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Otto and Helen (Biermann) Lindeman. Delores was baptized as an infant on April 9, 1938, and was confirmed in her faith as a youth in 1951, both at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Auburn, Minnesota. Delores attended school at District #55 in McLeod County for eight years. She continued her education in Brownton and was a graduate of the Brownton High School Class of 1955. After graduation, Delores was employed by Northwestern Bell as a long distance telephone operator.
On August 1, 1957, Delores was united in marriage to Robert Kramer. They were blessed with five children, Darlene, Randy, Darla, Rick, and Rod. After their marriage, the couple resided in rural Bird Island before retiring in Hutchinson. Delores and Robert shared two days short of 59 years of marriage.
Delores was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was Robert’s partner in the farming operation for 37 years and loved the land. Her contribution to the family and farming operation was an endless dedication. She was the family coordinator; running kids to 4-H, school activities, and church. She was known to be able to feed an army regardless of the time, day or night. Delores was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Osceola Township for 37 years. After moving to Hutchinson, she converted to the Catholic faith and became a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson and was a member of the Council of Catholic Women.
Delores loved to travel. She and Bob spent their winters in Mesa, Arizona, for 22 years. She also enjoyed dancing, cooking, baking, and flowers, especially roses. Delores loved her family, and the overwhelming love for her granddaughters was immeasurable. One of Delores’s greatest blessings was her family and she cherished each moment she was able to spend with them.
