Deloris Seemann

Obituary

Deloris Viola Seemann was born on January 31, 1922, in Bergen Township, Lester Prairie, Minnesota.  She was the daughter of Arthur and Malinda (Schmaltz) Seemann.  Deloris was baptized as an infant on January 31, 1922, at her home and later was confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 25, 1936, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. 

Deloris grew up on her family farm in Bergen Township.  She graduated from Lester Prairie High School as valedictorian of her class.  She then made her home in Minneapolis and would come home often by greyhound bus on the weekends.  Deloris worked at Lutheran Brotherhood in the insurance business for 35 years, retiring on March 6, 1987.  After retiring, Deloris moved to Glencoe, Minnesota, to help care for her mother.  She was a life-long member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. 

Deloris enjoyed reading, bible studies, knitting, crocheting and traveling.  She treasured the time spent with her family and friends.

Deloris passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020, at Grand Meadows Senior Living in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 98 years, 2 months and 24 days.

Brothers-In-Law, Verndale Selchow of Lester Prairie, MN,
Ruben Ernst of Glencoe, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, Other relatives and friends.

Deloris is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Malinda Seemann; sisters, Bernice Ernst and LorJean Selchow; brother, Clarence Seemann.
