Delphine Ann Wood

Obituary

Delphine Ann (Chlebecek) Wood was born on March 15, 1936, in Yellow Medicine County, Canby, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Lacek) Chlebecek.  Delphine was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Canby, Minnesota.  She received her education at Canby High School in Canby, Minnesota.

On December 30, 1954, Delphine was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Wood at Church of Peace in Glencoe, Minnesota. Delphine and Richard made their home in Glencoe. They shared over 60 years of marriage until Richard passed away on March 1, 2015. 

In addition to being a wife and homemaker, Delphine worked at 3M in Hutchinson, Minnesota, in production for 39 years, retiring in 1996. Delphine loved flowers, gardening and doing yard work.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Delphine passed away on December 7, 2015, at her home in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 22 days.

Other relatives and many friends.

Delphine is preceded in death by her Parents, Joseph and Rose Chlebecek; Husband, Richard “Dick” Wood, Brothers, Julius Chlebecek and his wife, Carol, Alvin Chlebecek; Brother-In-Law, Earl Long; Sister-In-Law, Eleanor Chlebecek.
