Delphine Delores Lindeman, age 92, of Brownton, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton. Interment will be in Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 22, 2018, from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Grace Lutheran Church and will continue one hour before the service at the church.
Arrangements are with the Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel.
Obituary
Delphine Delores (Bluhm) Lindeman was born on February 1, 1925, on her family’s farm in Brownton, Minnesota where her son currently lives. She was the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth (Miklas) Bluhm. Delphine was baptized and confirmed at St. George Church in Glencoe, Minnesota. She received her education at District #55 Country School and graduated from Brownton High School class of 1942.
On May 5, 1943, Delphine was united in marriage to William Lindeman at St. George’s Church in Glencoe. This marriage was blessed with three children, Deborah, Sandra and Ronald. Delphine and Bill made their home in rural Brownton. They farmed on several farms around Brownton and one in Stewart before buying their farm in Brownton. Delphine and Bill developed an addition outside of Brownton and then also built a new home for themselves. Delphine and Bill shared 58 years of marriage until Bill passed away on July 25, 2001. After the passing of Bill, she remained living in their home until three and a half years ago when Delphine purchased a condo in Greencastle in Hutchinson.
Delphine was a wonderful wife and mother and enjoyed working on the farm with Bill; and raising their three children. She worked seasonally at Brownton Produce for seven years and at Green Giant for five years. Delphine retired from full time employment with 3M after twelve years. Delphine was a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Mesa Post #26 for thirty years. Delphine donated blood her whole life; she donated a total of 48 pints of blood to the American Red Cross.
Delphine enjoyed gardening, dancing, baking and was an avid reader. Delphine and Bill enjoyed traveling and spent wintered in Mesa, Arizona for 35 years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
Delphine passed away on Wednesday, January 17, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, at the age of 92 years. Blessed be her memory.

Grandchildren, Trevor Bach, Tamara Bach, Melissa (Dustin) Vliem, Chad Skolberg and his special friend, Janel Zanoth, Todd Lindeman and his wife, Lisa, Reese Lindeman, Blake Lindeman and his wife, Bridget, Kelly Lindeman, and Casey Lindeman;
Great Grandchildren, Ryan and Joe Bach, Brody and Riley Vliem, Chauncy and Lanie Skolberg, Jordan and Dash Lindeman, Amelia and Parker Lindeman, and McKenna Lindeman;
Brother, Wayne Bluhm of Glenoce, MN;
Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many other relatives and friends.
Delphine is preceded in death by her: Parents, Ernest and Elsie Bluhm; Spouse, William Lindeman; Brother, Melvin (Gretchen) Bluhm; Sisters In-Law, Sylvia Bluhm and Hilda (Gerhart) Harbarth; Brothers In-Law, Ted (Adeline) Lindeman and Clarence (Clara) Lindeman; Cousin, Esther Bluhm-Karg (a cousin her parents raised from the time she was 9 years old.); and Son-In-Law, David Bach.

the one thing I will remember the most is the farm and all the fun I had visiting there….even the use of the outhouse although I didn’t like using it! so glad they got a toilet inside….the smells of home cooking on a farm is something I will always cherish (and it was always so good) along with gathering eggs, playing in the barn and being chased by the chickens…. your mother was a dear sweet lady who will be dearly missed….
