Diana M. Waltz

Obituary

Diana May Waltz was born on November 10, 1942, in Hector, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Darwin and Evelyn Seaman. Diana was baptized as an infant at Palmyra Lutheran Church, and later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, Minnesota. She received her education in Cosmos, and was a graduate of the Cosmos High School Class of 1960.

On October 12, 1968, Diana was united in marriage to Ronald “Ron” Waltz at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with two children, Ann and Jean. Ron and Diana resided on the family farm in Lincoln Valley until 1981, when they moved to Bismarck, North Dakota. In 1989, they relocated to Spokane, Washington, before moving to Hutchinson, Minnesota in 1991. They shared 54 years of marriage until passing of Ron on April 6, 2023.

Diana was employed at Hutchinson Technology Incorporated for 13 years. Diana was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson. She was also a member of Sams Club camping.

Diana enjoyed camping, reading, and ladies circle at church. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

Diana passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Ecumen Oaks in Hutchinson, at the age of 83 years.

Great-grandchildren, Myles Boucher, Adelyn Matter;
Siblings, Janet Yerks and her husband, Douglas, of Hutchinson, MN,
Joan Sommerfeld of Litchfield, MN,
Nancy Dolezal and her husband, Richard, of Lester Prairie, MN,
Many other relatives and friends.

Diana is preceded in death by her Husband, Ronald Waltz; Sister, Marjorie Seaman; Brother, David Seaman; Brother-in-law, John Sommerfeld.
