Diane C. Dostal, age 73, of Silver Lake, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Hutchinson Health in Hutchinson, Minnesota.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held.
Obituary
Diane Cheryl Dostal was born on November 4, 1952, in Watertown, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Stanford Kirchenwitz and Bernice (Taylor) Pawelk. Diane was baptized as an infant at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montrose, Minnesota. She was later confirmed in her faith as a youth at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer, Minnesota. She received her education in Watertown, and was a graduate of the Watertown-Mayer High School Class of 1971.
On August 17, 1974, Diane was united in marriage to Duane Dostal at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer. This marriage was blessed with two daughters, Karla and Karmen. Diane and Duane made their home in Silver Lake, Minnesota. They shared 51 years of marriage.
Diane was employed in Quality Control at 3M in Hutchinson, Minnesota, for 33 years. She retired in 2009. Diane was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Hutchinson.
Diane enjoyed reading, needlepoint, gardening, baking, and cooking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
Diane passed away on May 24, 2026, at Hutchinson Health at the age of 73 years.

Daughters, Karla Dostal and her significant other, Tyler Fox of Hutchinson, MN,
Karmen Kovack and her husband, Kyle of Alexandria, MN;
Grandchildren, Kaymarie and Kamden Kovack;
Brothers, Melvin Kirchenwitz and his wife, Evonne of Minnetonka, MN,
Richard Kirchenwitz and his wife, Delores of Montrose, MN;
Many other relatives and friends.
Diane is preceded in death by her Father, Stanford Kirchenwitz; Mother, Bernice Pawelk; Step-father, Willard Pawelk; Grandparents, Robert and Anna Kirchewnwitz, Carl Taylor, his first wife, Martha Wagner, his second wife, Ann Nagel; Step-grandparents, Fred and Elsie Pawelk; Sister-in-law, Donna Kirchenwitz.
