Diane C. Templin, age 76, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Dobratz-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Hutchinson with interment at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.
Obituary
Diane Carol Templin was born on August 8, 1949 in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Erwin and Alma (Schroeder) Kohls. Diane was baptized as an infant at home on August 26, 1949. She was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on May 19, 1963, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills Township, Minnesota. Diane received her education in Hutchinson and was a graduate of the Hutchinson High School Class of 1967.
On April 19, 1969, Diane was united in marriage to Glen Templin at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills Township, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with one daughter, Christine. Diane and Glen resided in Leaster Prairie, Minnesota, for 50, and later moved to Hutchinson in 2019. They shared 55 years of marriage until Glen passed away on November 22, 2024.
Diane was employed at 3M in Hutchinson. She retired in 2007. Diane was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie.
Diane enjoyed baking, specially making caramel rolls, cookies, and Grandma Alma’s popcorn balls. She always held a positive attitude and enjoyed taking care of others, putting her family and friends before herself. Diane enjoyed having fun, especially gambling with pull tabs, and was always on the go. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
Diane passed away on May 20, 2026, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, at the age of 76 years.

Diane is survived by her:
Daughter, Chris Krienke and her husband, David of Kensington, MN;
Grandchildren, Laurel Kaufmann and her significant other, Michael Geier, Jacob Kaufmann, Ethan Kaufmann;
Great-grandson, Koen Glen Geier;
Many other relatives and friends.
Diane is preceded in death by her Parents, Erwin and Alma Kohls, and Husband, Glen Templin.
