Donald P.H. Beich

Obituary

Donald “Donnie” Paul Henry Beich was born on July 2, 1938, in Round Grove Township, McLeod County, Minnesota. He was the son of Louis and Frances (Tabbert) Beich. Donnie was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stewart, Minnesota. He received his education in Stewart, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the Stewart High School Class of 1956.

Donnie entered active military service in the United States Army National Guard on July 9, 1956, in Hutchinson, Minnesota, and served his country during peace time. He received an Honorable Discharge on July 8, 1964, in Hutchinson, and achieved the rank of Staff Sargeant.

On June 3, 1979, Donnie was united in marriage to Janice (Stites) Karg at Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton, Minnesota. This marriage was blessed with Janice’s children, Douglas and Sherry. Donnie and Janice resided in Stewart, Minnesota. They shared 44 years of marriage.

Donnie worked in construction, did electrical work, farmed, and was a manager at Stewart Liquor Store. He was also employed at 3M in Hutchinson for 20 years. Donnie retired in 2000. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Brownton, Minnesota. Donnie served on the Stewart Fire Department for 26 years.

Donnie enjoyed fishing during all seasons, playing cards, and watching baseball. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends.

Donnie passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Glencoe Regional Health in Glencoe, Minnesota, at the age of 85 years.

Great-grandchildren, Emily Ward, Aaron Ward, Ellie Wendolek, Henry Schaefer, Beckett Karg, Ethan Karg;
Sister, Delores Bleick of Fairfax, MN
Many Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Donnie is preceded in death by his Parents, Louis and Frances Beich; Brother, Delorin Beich; Sister-in-law, Beverly Ersfeld-Beich; Brother-in-law, Bert Bleick.
