Service Information
Doris Ruth Kletscher, age 86, of Lester Prairie, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society in Waconia, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, 11:00 A.M., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, Minnesota, with interment following at the church cemetery in Lester Prairie.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M., two hours prior to the service at the church.
The service will be live-streamed on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. You can access the live-streaming service via the church’s website at www.stpaullp.org.
In lieu of flowers, Doris requested memorials be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church or The Good Samaritan Society-Waconia.
Obituary
Doris Ruth (Braun) Kletscher was born on September 8, 1936, in Preston Lake Township, Renville County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Alfred J. and Cora (Hoecke) Braun. Doris was baptized on October 11, 1936, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth on April 10, 1949, at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota. Doris received her education in Buffalo Lake, Minnesota, and was a graduate of the Buffalo Lake High School Class of 1954.
On April 7, 1956, Doris was united in marriage to Murl Kletscher at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo Lake. This union was blessed with children Gloria, Barrie, and Bruce. The couple made their home in Milroy and Gibbon before moving to Lester Prairie, Minnesota in 1980. Doris and Murl shared over 51 years of marriage until Murl passed away on October 12, 2007.
Doris was employed as an educational para-professional at the Crow River Co-op preschool program in Lester Prairie, Minnesota. She was employed there for many years until her retirement.
Doris enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, canning, watching the band at the University of Minnesota football games, and taking family trips in the summer. She also enjoyed quilting and crocheting. In Gibbon, she taught Sunday School to special needs children for many years at Immanuel Lutheran Church. After moving to Lester Prairie, she was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. In addition, she was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Doris entered her eternal rest on December 8, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society in Waconia, Minnesota, at the age of 86 years.

Bruce Kletscher and his wife, Kim, of Scottsdale, AZ;
Grandchildren: Erin Lutz-Williams (Ben), Megan Lutz, Ryan Lutz (Ashley), Ellen Kletscher (Dante Falcone), Diana Kletscher (Drew Smith), Karina Kletscher, Maren Kletscher Harrell (Alec), William Kletscher;
Great-Grandchildren: Addison Williams, Avery Williams;
Sisters: Grace Lackmann (Kenneth) of Prior Lake, Phyllis Ernst of Lester Prairie;
Sister-in-law, Betty Braun of Hutchinson;
Nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Murl Kletscher; Parents, Alfred and Cora Braun; Father-In-Law & Mother-In-Law, Arthur and Elsie Kletscher; Brother, Donald Braun; Brother-in-law, Terry Ernst; Sisters-in-law, Veona Kaehler (Don), LaVon Werner (Clarence), Mildred DeMuth (Emil).
