Charlene "Ide" Alsleben says
Dolly and I were close friends while growing up through the Church of Peace and Glencoe schools. We had many “sleep overs” as kids, and I had a great fun with Patty, Harley, and Jimmie as well. We had so much fun at the creek and every morning at Dolly’s house we would make the best French toast for breakfast. In Highschool, we drifted apart and after graduation we did not keep in touch, but my local family in Glencoe would always give me updates. Whenever I visited Glencoe and drove past (Dolly’s house), I would always smile, wave, and say “Hi. Dolly”. I have so many happy memories of my friend and will always keep them safe within my heart. I will still smile, wave, and say “Hi Dolly”, whenever I pass by.
