I will cherish the memories of my cousin, Doug, all through
the years. Us city kids from Calfornia loved the times we got to
be at the family farm. More recently, we enjoyed visits from
Doug and Carolyn to California, when Mom was alive.
It will be a blessed reunion one day.
David and Monica Rye says
We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Doug. He was a great partner to Carolyn, was an asset to his community/church and I learned a lot from his farming practices and his commitment to the agricultural organizations that he served with excellence and having him as a customer of our products.
Through him we were able to meet wonderful Anne and Jonathan. Anne who we trusted, or likely scared her, with all four of our kids babysitting at 712 Main St N, Winthrop and Jonathan who’s grown up into a great businessman like his Dad. Consulting with great companies in the state. Jon I was privileged to have you as an intern and I’m proud of all you accomplished. You were my first direct report and I apologize for my rusty direction but thrilled with where you’ve gone. Excited to meet Kelli, Jon and Darrell and Evelyn, Ann!
We are here for you whether this week, this year or as long as we’re blessed to help support family. 317-835-6057, david.rye01@gmail.com You are family to us regardless of how our paths may have strayed.
With Love,

Carolyn Zitar says
My cousin, Doug came to California several times on trips, one on Route 66. Another time he stayed in town to visit our mom when she was in the hospital with her broken hip. He and Carolyn visited her every day.
I love our childhood visits to the farm and loved seeing what Doug and Carolyn did to restore the farm house.
So sorry for your loss,
Love Carolyn Z.
