Dearest mom, I grieve because you are no longer in this world but I know you are with Otto and Gerald and that is a comfort to me. I look back on the past 36 years with a smile because you always treated me with love and kindness. When Gerry brought this foreign girl back to Hutchinson you welcomed me with open arms and made me feel at home from the minute I walked in the door. I will always be grateful for that.
Rest in peace, mom and give Gerry a hug from me. Love always, Marianne

I worked at the Oaks when Edna and Otto lived there. They were such special friends. I would always refer to them as the bookends when they walked down the hall together and were dressed in their denim shirts. I still have a number of recipes she shared with me. They both left me with such happy memories of their times at The Oaks. I will always cherish their friendship.

Hello, to the family of Edna, I’m sure she taught you many things over the 94 yrs. She lived a very long life, I’m sure in her last years she was waiting to go home. I met Edna through her daughter Linda who went to school with our daughter Sharri. They were great friends. We saw Linda marry Jon. You will always remember your parents. Blessings to all.

Hello…
I met Edna while she lived at the Oaks. Our students purchased groceries for her as she needed them. Edna was such a delight!
My plan was to at least to “pop-in” to see John & Kolleen as they are classmates of mine. I’m mad at myself for not getting there!! Kolleen, I was suppose to give you a hug from Lisa E. Hello you two!!
